Is it safe for me to exercise again?

This is a common question as each of us are different and no two pregnancies or births are the same. Once you have had your 6-week check with your doctor and they are happy with your progress we would love to see you. This doesn't mean that you are ready to run a marathon just yet! Your instructor will be on hand for any concerns or questions you may have.  Our instructors certified and have ante and post-natal training so you are in safe hands.

I have never danced before, can I still join in a GROOVE class?

Absolutely! These are not your average dance or fitness classes! Mums of all abilities are welcome.

What age children are welcome from?

From 6 weeks up to 4 years old. We ask every mum to sign a pre-screening disclaimer after her 6-week postnatal check.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in! We suggest loose trousers or leggings with a t-shirt or vest top. Do not overdress your baby if you are wearing them as you will radiate heat throughout the class.

What if my baby starts crying?

We are mums! We absolutely understand and please feel free to tend to your baby.


I am pregnant can I join the class?

 It is important that you consult your doctor or midwife before starting any new exercise programmes. All classes are safe for you to do and pre-natal exercise is highly recommended for mum to be and baby. We would love to have you Bump-Groovers!

What kind of dancing is it?

Dance is led by music and our music is feel good and upbeat in GROOVE! So although your MAMA instructor will lead choreographed and repetitive steps, you are more than welcome to groove anyway you feel!

Can I pay as I go?

We work on a monthly basis of 4 week blocks at £28. A pay as you go option is available at £10 per class.

Can I feed my baby?

Yes of course! We welcome all feeding.

I have had a caesarean. Will I be ok?

Yes. After your 6 week postnatal check you are welcome to join a Mama class. However we do recommend not to wear your baby until they are at least four months while exercising to ensure no unnecessary stress. You will have an informal chat with your instructor prior to commencing any exercise to briefly go through your disclaimer giving you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and so the instructor is fully aware of your individual post natal circumstance.
